Today, 41 years later, the CISKers began the sixth Terry Fox Run in order to complete his unfinished business and inherit his spirit.

In the previous month, CISK has included Terry Fox Run in its daily curriculum. In order to let students understand the background and significance of the event, teachers have awakened students about Terry Fox, cancer and charity by exploring the themes of love, perseverance, courage and determination.

At the same time, CISKers are also very active, from classroom teaching to make posters, from buying charity clothes to charity sales, hoping to bring some changes to the world through their own efforts and help end the disease that affects millions of people around the world.

Before the official run, the whole school gathered in the gym, and followed the PE teacher and Mr. Doll Wolf to complete the warm-up exercise. 

Later, the senior students formed a "high-five tunnel", and the rest of the teachers and students walked through it in turn and high-five each other to convey each other's support and encouragement.

A whistle sounded, with the Chinese national flag and the CISK flag flying in the air, the charity run officially began!

Every teacher has joined the running team, and the students started side by side, some even want to compare speed with each other, when we feel the movement of their running, they have been far away, leaving only a chic figure.

When the teachers draw a line at the students' wrist, they break through themselves and complete a new lap. The students helped each other, encouraged them, and ran around and around in the laughter and sweat. 

The Terry Fox Run has raised 12,000 yuan from 9,385 kilometers across the ocean, and all of the money will be donated to the Terry Fox Foundation to contribute to cancer research for all mankind.

Throughout the 10 years of CISK, charity is actually not an unfamiliar word to CISKers.

Christmas sales, Terry Fox Run, “Old Clothes New Trip”, fundraising ...... CISK hopes to guide our students to develop a sense of social responsibility in practice and grow into international talents who are passionate about public welfare and caring for society.

What is particularly gratifying is that in addition to the regular charity events held by the school, the students also organize some charity sales, design donation posters, make donation boxes, sell some unused toys, make their own food, etc., and use the proceeds to help sick children, protect endangered creatures and safeguard the global environment.

Terry Fox used his courage and perseverance to inspire the whole world, but also inspired everyone in the CISK. No matter what difficulties we encounter, this power will always accompany us, hope CISKers take the spirit of Terry Fox as the guidance, persistent, perseverance, care for others, never give up.
