코리안 프로그램

CISK students and faculty come from multicultural backgrounds and grow together in an environment that combines internationalization and localization. There are a certain number of Korean enterprises and residents in Kunshan, but the scale is not large, and people do not know much about Korean culture. At the same time, Canadian International School Kunshan is adjacent to Duke Kunshan University, which has a strong international atmosphere, and the infusion of Korean culture can make the region more vibrant.

시스크 학생과 교직원은 다문화 배경을 갖고 있으며 글로컬 커뮤니티에서 함께 성장하고 있다. 쿤산시에는 한국 기업이 있으며, 한국 교민들이 거주하지만 규모가 크지 않아 일반 시민들은 한국문화에 대한 이해가 부족합니다. 쿤산캐나다국제학교는 쿤산 듀크대학교와 인접해 있어 지역내 국제화 분위기가 강하며, 한국문화가 유입되면 더욱 활기를 띠게 될 것입니다.

Korean culture is an important part of the world culture. CISK hopes to establish contacts with Korean communities in the region, so that multi-cultural CISK can know Korea and Korea can know multi-cultur al CISK. In the series of activities of Korean Program, CISK also hopes to eliminate the misunderstanding of Korea and experience the charm of Korean culture through various Korean cultural events.

한국문화는 세계 우수한 문화 중 하나입니다. 시스크는 지역 내에 거주하는 한국 커뮤니티와 연결하여 시스크는 한국문화를, 한국은 다문화 시스크를 체험하도록 행사를 추진하고자 합니다. <시스크와 한국의 만남> 시리즈 행사를 통해 세계 여러 나라 사람들이 한국에 대한 오해를 풀고 한국 문화의 매력을 이해하게 될 것이라 기대됩니다.

CISK is a K-12 international school and we will carry out Korean cultural events to students of all ages. We will also invite families outside the school who are interested in international school to Korean cultural activities such as making Gimbap and Chuseok Songpyeon, watching and experiencing Pansori, Taekwondo, Korean language and Korean songs, Hangul Festival special planing, Korean paper crafts, Korean folk activities and Korean foods, etc.

시스크는 유치원부터 고등학교까지의 교육을 운영하는 국제화 학교로서, 앞으로 학생들의 나이와 이해력에 맞는 다양한 한국 문화 행사를 기획할 예정입니다. 이와 같이 교외 국제화 학교에 관심 있는 가족을 초청하여 한국문화 행사에 함께 참여하도록 할 계획입니다. 김밥·추석 송편 만들기, 국악 판소리 감상 및 체험, 태권도 체험, 한국어 및 한국노래 학습, 한글날 특별기획, 조각보 공예품 체험, 전라도 한지 공예품 만들기, 한국 민속놀이(윷놀이) 체험, 한국 음식 및 간식(떡볶이, 어묵) 맛보기 등 행사를 기획해 다양한 한국문화를 체험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 합니다.

PYP-Kindergarten

초등교과과정PYP—유치부

Planned and purposeful games are the basis of our early three-year plan and part of PYP. Focusing on English language acquisition, appropriate development expectations for literacy, mathematics, science, social research, art, physical education and health education are embedded in learning activities including teacher led teaching or child centered surveys.

계획적이고 목적이 있는 놀이는 3년 조기계획의 기초이자 PYP의 일부입니다. 영어 습득을 중심으로 문해력, 수학, 과학, 사회탐구, 미술, 체육 및 보건 교육에 대한 적절한 개발 기대가 교사 주도 교육 또는 유아 중심 설문 조사를 포함한 학습 활동에 내재되어 있습니다.

PYP-Elementary

초등교과과정PYP—초등부

The primary school project takes the inquiry plan as the carrier to carry out six interdisciplinary themes with lasting value. Students need to achieve the best learning effect through real learning, that is, learning should be connected with the "real" world, and finally return to the real life. The PYP program balances the acquisition of important knowledge and skills, the development of conceptual understanding, the formation of personal positive attitudes and the ability to take responsible actions, with the goal of cultivating students to become lifelong learners.

초등학교 프로젝트는 지속적인 가치가 있는 6개의 초학문적 주제를 수행하기 위해 탐구 계획을 추진합니다. 학생들은 실제 학습을 통해 최고의 학습 효과를 달성해야 합니다. 즉, 학습은 ‘현실’ 세계와 연결되어야 하며, 마지막으로 실생활로 돌아가야 합니다. PYP 프로그램은 중요한 지식과 기술의 습득, 개념 이해의 발달, 개인적인 긍정적인 태도의 형성 및 책임 있는 행동을 할 수 있는 능력과 학생들을 평생 학습자로 양성하는 것을 목표로 균형을 맞추고 있습니다.

Middle Years Programme (MYP) - Secondary School

중등교과과정—MYP

The MYP is designed for students aged 11 to 16. From Grade 6 to Grade 10, the program requires students to learn eight subject groups, cultivate students to become thinkers with creative, critical and reflective awareness, establish links between the traditional disciplines they learn and the real world, and develop skills in communication, multicultural understanding and global participation.

MYP는 만 11-16세 사이의 학생들을 위해 고안되었습니다. 6학년부터 10학년까지, 중등교과과정은 학생들이 8개의 과목군을 배우고, 창의적이고 비판적이며 반성적인 인식을 가진 사상가가 되도록 학생들을 육성하고, 그들이 배우는 전통적인 학문과 현실 세계 사이의 연결고리를 확립하고, 의사소통, 다문화 이해 및 글로벌 참여 등 다양한 기능을 개발하도록 요구합니다.

Diploma Programme (DP)-Secondary School

고등교과과정—DP

The International Baccalaureate Programme is designed for students aged 16 to 19. It is a two-year college preparatory program. Students will learn at least two languages and have the opportunity to obtain a bilingual IB diploma. As an international curriculum with the highest international recognition, universal use and the most balanced discipline setting, IBDP is being favored by more and more schools and parents.

DP는 국제 바칼로레아 프로그램은 만 16-19세 사이의 학생들을 위해 고안되었고, 2년제 대학 입시 대비 프로그램입니다. 학생들은 최소한 두 개의 언어를 배우우고 이중 언어 IB 졸업장을 얻을 기회를 가질 것입니다. IBDP는 현재 국제적으로 가장 인지도가 높고 세계적으로 통용되며 교과목 설정이 가장 균형 잡힌 국제 커리큘럼으로 점점 더 많은 학교와 학부모들이 선호하고 있습니다.

Language learning

언어학습

CISK implements hierarchical teaching and flexibly adjusts the curriculum according to students' language learning level. For non-native English students, their English learning ability in language acquisition can be divided into three stages: emergent, capable and proficient. For non-native Chinese students, they do Mandarin as Second Language (MSL) separately in their Chinese learning.

시스크는 학생의 언어레벨에 따라 수업을 조정하고, 단계별 수업을 실시합니다. 영어가 모국어 아닌 학생의 경우 영어 능력에 따라 초급, 중급과 고급을 3단계로 나누고 중국어가 모국어 아닌 학생의 경우 중국어를 제2 외국어(MSL)로 공부합니다.

As a diversified learning community, CISK has students and faculty from all over the world. In many courses, we use stories, songs and dances to show our motherland's culture and share our rich background. We promote international-mindedness and multicultural understanding in a community that has students and teachers from all around the world and through colorful activities like UN day, language festivals, etc.

Customized education

맞춤형 교육

IB courses, especially IB diploma courses, are famous for their strictness. This often makes people mistakenly think that the DP is only suitable for talented and very smart students. The truth is that IB courses are designed to meet the needs of students for all-round development. At CISK, we provide customized (pre-university) education for students based on their abilities, past achievements, interests, and university plans. We also provide customized guidance for students to apply for college.

Academic Results

Since 2018, CISK graduates have made a lot of achievements, most of which have received admission notices from well-known universities in Britain, Canada, Australia, the United States, Hong Kong, and other places, such as Harvard University, Duke University, Imperial College of London, the University of Manchester, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Toronto, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, etc. In 2020, the average score of our IB graduates was 37 points, which was far higher than the global average of 31 points. As for university applications, CISK students have received more than 90% of the admission offers from the world's top 100 universities, more than 80%from the world's top 50 universities, and 50% from the world's top 30 universities.

2018년부터 현재까지 시스크 졸업생들이 우수한 진학 성과를 취득하였습니다. 대부분 졸업생들은 영국, 캐나다, 호주, 미국, 중국홍콩 등 국가 및 지역의 명문 대학에 입학하였습니다. 하버드대학교, 듀크대학교, 런던 임페리얼 칼리지, 맨체스터대학교, 에든버러대학교, 토론토대학교, 홍콩대학교, 멜버른대학교, 시드니대학교 등 포합합니다. 2020년 시스크 IB 졸업생들의 평균 점수는 37점으로 세계 평균인 31점보다 훨씬 높았습니다. 시스크 12학년 학생들은 세계 탑100 대학에서 90% 이상, 세계 탑50 대학에서 80% 이상, 세계 탑30 대학에서 50% 이상의 입학 합격을 받았습니다.
