In the middle and high school stages of international education, students’ problem solving skills are highly valued, and it is also favored by university admissions officers. In order to enhance the competitiveness of CISK students and make preparations for the national business competition, CISK Guidance Counseling Center and the professional business competition team organized a business competition training course for the students on January 14.

The course is carried out in the mode of online business competitions, grouping students to establish different types of companies. Students need to work in multiple levels of the company, such as product development, marketing, and strategic decision-making, and operate and develop the company in a simulated market environment.

Whether to choose a hot emerging industry? How to develop new products? How to allocate initial funds reasonably? How to market positioning and sales? The students thought and practiced under the guidance of professional teachers, and completed a series of business operations such as company registration, fund-raising, marketing and product development.

In the operation of a virtual company, students can not only combine the business theory and practice they have learned, but also exercise communication and leadership skills in teamwork, thereby significantly enhancing their business quality capabilities. This is very beneficial for students' university applications. In addition to standardized test scores, universities also value off-campus activities. Such activities like business competitions are very helpful for students' background improvement.

The CISK Guidance Counseling Center provides personalized university application guidance for our students, including detailed background improvement plans. With the introduction of more and more competitions, CISK students will be able to show their individuality and talent on a broader stage and enter the ideal university.

As of December 30, 2020, the early round of university application for 2021 fall is close to the end. We are excited to share that the graduating class of 2021 has received offers from universities all around the world. 

Among those offer letters (IB/A-Level/ VIA), 18% came from the world's top 30 universities, 55% from the world's top 50 universities, and 76% from the world's top 100 universities. 

Among these schools, there are many top universities we know well, such as Imperial College of Science, The University of Manchester, University of Toronto, The University of Hong Kong, The University of Sydney, The University of Melbourne, etc.
