The theme of this year’s PD Day revolved around three core areas: "Integrating Benchmarks/Standards into the Curriculum," "How to Use Toddle Effectively, Such as Making Lesson Plans," and "WASC Accreditation Focus."

1. Integrating Benchmarks/Standards into the Curriculum
Educators engaged in an in-depth exploration of how to seamlessly integrate national and international benchmarks and standards into the school’s curriculum. Through collaborative sessions and expert presentations, teachers were equipped with strategies to ensure that their lesson plans align with these standards, fostering a more holistic and rigorous learning environment for students.
2. How to Use Toddle Effectively Such as Making Lesson Plans
The second session focused on leveraging Toddle, an educational platform, to enhance lesson planning and teaching effectiveness. Teachers learned practical tips and tricks for utilizing Toddle’s features to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students. This hands-on approach encouraged educators to embrace technology and innovate their teaching methods.
3. WASC Accreditation Focus
The final session of the day centered around WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) accreditation, an essential aspect of maintaining the school’s high educational standards. Educators discussed the criteria and processes involved in achieving and maintaining WASC accreditation, highlighting the importance of ongoing self-reflection and improvement in educational practices.
