With more than 18 years of operational, governance and leadership experience in international schools, Mr. Lucas brings deep understanding and appreciation of education to the Canadian International School of Kunshan. He has rich experience in numerous fields, having previously served as a General Manager, Board Member and Executive Principal. Mr. Luc Pauwels graduated from the University of Brussels and holds a Master’s Degree in Education.

He is a passionate educator with 30 years of experience in developing and leading schools in Europe and Asia. In Belgium, he was an assistant professor at the University of Brussels and an Advisor to the Minister of Education. 

Dr. Bomo was initially trained as a medical doctor and later found his calling in education. He has since then completed a Master of Arts in Teaching in the United States and a Master of Science in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford.

Dr. Bomo has rich experience in the international educational field. Throughout his nearly 20 years of dedication to education, he has played roles in teaching and management in state and international schools in the United States, Brunei, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Georgia. 

He is an active member of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Educator Network (IBEN). He is also an accreditation evaluator for the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Ms. Meredith Li graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master‘s degree in Child Development and Education. She is also a graduate of the Peking University International School Operation & Management (PISOM) programme. 

Mr. Christopher Hoddinott is from England and has Master's degrees in Education and in Research.

With over a decade of experience in international education, he dedicates his effort in academic affairs. He is also an IB examiner and an advisor on Extended Essay (EE) . His career has crossed England, Brunei, Vietnam, Singapore, and now China.

Before joining CISK, he was the Projects Coordinator and Senior Music Teacher at an XCL World Academy in Singapore.

Mr. Keith McCann is from Canada and has degrees in Education and in Arts.  

With over a decade of teaching experience, he is excellent at teaching Economics, Business Administration, and English. He is also a specialist in guiding students to complete Extended Essays (EE), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK).

He is a thoughtful, caring educator with a love of learning who believes that an active, student-centred classroom with cooperative,inquiry-based activities is best for learning.

 
Cimy holds a Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education and has an AMI Montessori certificate. Having worked in the early childhood industry in Australia for over 10 years, Cimy has taken the role of Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader with great knowledge of teaching and leading practices and experiences. 

Cimy began her journey into education in 2014 at Goodstart Early Learning. Later, she became an early childhood teacher at  Kids Club Early Childhood Learning Centers. In 2022, Cimy worked as an educational leader

She adores the principles and concepts of the IB philosophy and pedagogy and focuses on individualized teaching and learning content. She has facilitated students' development by taking their own initiatives and leading their own learning processes with their personal interests, strengths and needs. Both teaching and learning programs and the learning environment that she designed and provided enable children to cultivate their social, physical and emotional development, promote their knowledge of both the world they live in and themselves and prepare them for future academic school learning.

Mr. Michael Cormack is from Scotland, and has a BA (Hons) in English Studies & Politics, and a PGDE (Secondary English) from Aberdeen University. 

He has nearly 20 years of experience in education and media. He has served as an English literature teacher in Chinese and British schools and universities. He is previously the VP of the middle school at an international school, mainly responsible for curriculum development, extracurricular activities and assessment, as well as teacher management. 

He loves writing and is a regular contributor to well-known international media outlets and has written book reviews about China for many years. And his new book, about the rock group Pink Floyd, will be published in June 2024.

Mr. Eoin Thomas Marsh graduated from the University College Cork in Ireland with a History major and from the University of Nottingham with a Master's degree in Education. 

He has over 10 years of experience working in the education sector and has worked as a teacher and lecturer at schools and universities in both China and Ireland.

He is a very caring person, and apart from teaching, he is also a bi-annual fundraiser for the Suzhou animal lover network. He organized many activities and charity exhibitions together with students and colleagues to encourage people to love nature and animals.

Mr Tavis Roberts is from Australia and has a Bachelor of Human Movement Science, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master's Degree in Education Globalization and Research.

With almost 20 years of teaching experience in Australia, England, Dubai, Thailand, and China, he is an experienced and knowledgable Athletic Director and Teacher with a passion for creating contextual, challenging, and innovative learning journeys that foster leadership, critical thinking and communication skills that students respect within themselves and the community in which they live.

He has lived in Suzhou since 2014 and enjoys cycling, networking over coffee, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Patyak graduated from Zaporizhya State University, Ukraine majoring in Olympic and professional sports. From 2016 to 2023, he has been working as a Chinese teacher at Lee Summit School District, MO, USA and is familiar withusing variety of education resource and applications to engage students in learning Mandarin.

During his working period in the school district, he has co-design and co-edit 5-year Chinese instruction materials andcontents with his coworker. Based on fun learning and outside-of-box instruction methods, Mr. Ji focus on inspiringstudents’ learning desires and enhancing their both team-work and independent problem solving abilities.

As a qualified teacher from sunny South Africa, it is a great privilege for Ms. Dauth to be a part of the CISK team! She has been a qualified teacher for 7 years, two of which served as a Kindergarten and Primary school teacher in South Africa. After which she continues teaching for 5 wonderful years in China (also as a Kindergarten and Primary school teacher). To further establish her passion for teaching, she has both an Honors and Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development Education.

During Anche's studies she specialized and worked with children experiencing special educational needs. Both her studies and experience taught her how to adjust the curriculum to each of these student's individual needs. In her first two years of teaching, she attended many seminars and events focusing on a child's development, individual needs and how to support them in meeting goals and outcomes of lessons, life skills and different subjects.

Needless to say, she loves teaching as this enables passionate teachers to assist children in laying the foundation in their knowledge, creativity, and life skills. In August 2016, Stella was honored to become a National Chinese Teacher Volunteer at Holy Angels International School in Jakarta, Indonesia, during which she received the TCSOL and Outstanding Chinese Teacher Volunteer Award. At the same time, these three years of teaching experience made her understand that teaching would definitely become her lifelong career choice. In 2019, Stella returned to her home country and joined the warm family of CISK as a Chinese teacher. During her five years of teaching at CISK, she taught Chinese in Grade 3, Chinese Language and Literature in Grade 8 and Grade 9, and Chinese B in Grade 11. She has also coached students in the International Youth Chinese Writing Competition several times and won the Outstanding Instructor Award. She has also been a middle school classroom teacher for two years, and her gentle but firm style is very popular with her students and their parents.

Hello, I´m Tina Guo, I graduated from Nankai University in Tianjin in 2014 as an undergraduate and from East China Normal University in Shanghai in 2017 as a postgraduate, majored in Chinese International Education and I have a high school language teaching certificate. In 2016, I went to University of London, UK as a volunteer Chinese language teacher at the Confucius Institute of Dance and Performance for one year. Ms. Xuan Zhou has worked in Canadian International School of Kunshan for more than 2 years. During this period, she has taught MYP Chinese language and literature courses, including grade 6 and pre-DP (Grade 10). She has a certain understanding of IB's teaching philosophy and teaching mode, and has penetrated the education philosophy, especially critical thinking she learned during her study in the UK into her teaching as much as possible. With over a decade of international living experience in Malaysia and the United States, she has developed a profound appreciation for global perspectives and possesses a deep sense of cultural humility. Rebecca's dedication to community service and cross-cultural understanding is evident in her extensive volunteer work across diverse regions, including Kenya, Mexico, Yunnan, and Guizhou.

Previously, Rebecca initiated the Chinese Adolescents Depression Support Foundation in New York. Through this initiative, she championed mental health awareness and public education, with a particular focus on study-away college students. Rebecca has also gained extensive experience in various educational institutions, including the New York City Department of Education, Fudan University, and Duke Kunshan University. Furthermore, Rebecca is a pioneer in leading the first National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) certified training program in China.

Vicky has over 10 years of progressive experience in K-12 international schools, mainly engaged in admissions management, customer service, branding and marketing, and more than 3 years of experience in foreign affairs management. She has also been one of the core members of 2 start-up K12 international schools and 3 international curriculum programs. Anne has started her career journey with Education Industry while transferring her specialty and skills to proactively helping optimize corporate process as well as to deliver a decent staffing experience.

Milly graduated from Xi’an International Studies University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature. She has 10 years of co-teaching experience ranging from Kindergarten to Secondary School in CISK. She also had 5 years of middle school English teaching experience in a public Experimental Middle School. Working with different foreign teachers enriches her teaching experience, and makes her a more global mindset person with critical thinking and an empathetic attitude. Her hobbies are reading and travelling. Her motto is "Know yourself and become a better self".

Leonor graduated from Shanghai Normal University and Jilin International Studies University with a master's degree in TCSOL, with the Chinese National Teacher License (Chinese & English of junior high school). She is well versed in the Chinese and Korean language and culture, and has been to Hanyang University in South Korea as exchange student majoring in Chinese Studies and focusing on teaching Chinese to Korean native speakers. She was consultant and teacher in English, Korean and Chinese as second language learning centers, and believes that the opportunities and adventures in a multi-cultural environment can open students' minds, and lead them to think from multiple perspectives to find the best solution.
